She achieved wide fame for her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana. Cyrus recorded music for the soundtracks, Hannah Montana (2006) and Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), released by Walt Disney Records. With the success of the Hannah Montana franchise she established herself as a teen idol. In 2007, Cyrus signed to Hollywood Records to pursue a solo career. She embarked upon the Best of Both Worlds Tour the same year, in which she performed as both herself and in character as Hannah Montana. The tour was eventually turned into a high-grossing concert film entitled Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert (2008). In July 2008, Cyrus released her first solo album, Breakout (2008), which was commercially successful.

She began her foray into film by providing the voice of "Penny" in the animated film Bolt (2008). Cyrus earned a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for her performance of Bolt's theme song, "I Thought I Lost You". She also reprised her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009). The Hannah Montana: The Movie' soundtrack introduced her to new audiences within country and adult contemporary markets.

She began to cultivate an adult image in 2009 with the release of The Time of Our Lives (2009), an extended play which presented a more mainstream pop sound, and by filming The Last Song (2010), a coming-of-age drama film. The former included Cyrus's best-selling single, "Party in the U.S.A." (2009). A studio album titled Can't Be Tamed was released in 2010 and presents a new dance-pop sound. The music video and lyrics of the album's lead single, "Can't Be Tamed", portrays a more sexualized image for the entertainer. Cyrus ranked number thirteen on Forbes' 2010 Celebrity 100. In April 2011, Cyrus was named the 64th hottest woman in the world on Maxim's Hot 100. In May 2011, Cyrus was also named the 89th sexiest woman in the world on FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the world. Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee to Letitia Jean "Tish" (née Finley) and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Her parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed that she would accomplish great things with her life. They gave her the nickname "Smiley", which was later shortened to "Miley", because she smiled so often as a baby. Cyrus suffers from a mild heart condition causing tachycardia which, though not dangerous, is often bothersome.
Against the wishes of her father's record company, Cyrus's parents secretly married a year after Cyrus's birth on December 28, 1993. Tish had two children from a previous relationship: Trace and Brandi. Billy Ray adopted Trace and Brandi when they were young. She has a half-brother, Christopher Cody, Billy Ray's son from a brief relationship, born the same year as Miley; he grew up with his mother in South Carolina. Tish and Billy Ray had two more children, Braison and Noah. Cyrus's godmother is entertainer Dolly Parton.Cyrus was very close to her paternal grandfather, Democratic politician Ronald Ray Cyrus.Cyrus has paid her grandfather several tributes since his death in 2006, including eventually changing her middle name to "Ray". According to Cyrus's father, "A lot of people say Miley changed her name to Miley Ray because of Billy Ray, but that's not true. She did that in honor of my dad, because the two of them just loved each other to pieces.
Cyrus grew up on a 500-acre (2.0 km2) farm in Franklin, Tennessee, approximately an hour away from Nashville, and attended Heritage Elementary School. She was raised Christian and was baptized in a Southern Baptist church prior to moving to Hollywood in 2005. She attended church regularly while growing up and wore a purity ring. Several of Cyrus's siblings also eventually entered the entertainment business: Trace became a vocalist and guitarist for the electronic pop band Metro Station, Noah became an actress, and Brandi became a guitarist.
Career
2001–05: Career beginnings

In 2001, when Cyrus was eight, she and her family moved to Toronto, Canada while her father filmed the television series Doc. Cyrus said watching her father film the show inspired her to pursue acting. After Billy Ray took her to see a 2001 Mirvish production of Mamma Mia! at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Cyrus grabbed his arm and told him, "This is what I want to do, daddy. I want to be an actress."She began taking singing and acting classes at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto. In her first role, Cyrus played a girl named Kylie on Doc. In 2003, Cyrus was credited under her birth name for her role as "Young Ruthie" in Tim Burton's Big Fish.
At age 11, Cyrus learned about the casting for what became Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel children's television series about a school girl with a secret double life as a teen pop star. Cyrus sent in a tape auditioning for the show's best friend role, but received a call asking her to audition for the lead, "Chloe Stewart".After sending in a new tape and flying to Hollywood for further auditions,Cyrus was told that she was too young and too small for the part. However, her persistence and ability to sing in addition to act led the show's producers to invite her back for further auditions. Cyrus eventually received the lead, renamed "Miley Stewart" after herself, at the age of twelve.During this time, she also auditioned with Taylor Lautner for the feature film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D and it came down to her and another actress, but Cyrus started doing Hannah Montana instead.
As Cyrus's career took off, Tish Cyrus made several critical decisions regarding her daughter's representation. She signed Cyrus with Mitchell Gossett, director of the youth division at Cunningham Escott Slevin Doherty. Gossett, who specializes in creating child stars, had arranged for Cyrus's auditions for Hannah Montana and is credited with "discovering" her. For Cyrus's music career, Tish followed the advice of Dolly Parton, Cyrus's godmother and a singer herself, and signed Cyrus with Jason Morey of Morey Management Group. "Dolly said the Moreys are people you can trust around your daughter," Tish Cyrus recalls, "and she said they have good morals, which is not always the case in this business."According to trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter, Parton's advice was "the best advice [Tish] could [have gotten] on who should rep her daughter." Tish also recruited Billy Ray's business manager to manage her daughter's finances. Tish herself continues to co-manage or produce many of Cyrus's career decisions. For her education, Cyrus enrolled at Options for Youth Charter Schools and studied with a private tutor on the set of her television show.2006–07: Hannah Montana and Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus

Cyrus had already begun transitioning to a more grown-up image in late 2008, when her representatives negotiated a deal for novelist Nicholas Sparks to write the screenplay and novel basis for a film that would serve as a star vehicle for Cyrus by introducing her to audiences older than the young fans she had gained through Hannah Montana.Sparks and co-writer Jeff Van Wie developed The Last Song.It was important to Cyrus that she not be type cast as a singer: "I didn't want to be a singer in another film. I don't want to do that anymore. You have no idea how many musicals show up on my door. I want to do something a little more serious." In March 2009, Cyrus published Miles to Go, a memoir co-written by Hilary Liftin chronicling her life through age sixteen. Cyrus starred as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in Hannah Montana: The Movie, released April 10, 2009. Both the film and its soundtrack, which contained twelve songs performed by Cyrus, achieved commercial success. The soundtrack's lead single, "The Climb", became a Top 40 hit in twelve countries and introduced Cyrus to listeners outside her typical teen pop audience.Cyrus had considered ending Hannah Montana after its third season, which finished production on June 5, 2009,but Disney retained and exercised its option for a fourth season.
Production on The Last Song lasted from June 15, 2009 to August 18, 2009.In between, Cyrus launched the third Hannah Montana soundtrack, recorded the extended play The Time of Our Lives, and released the EP's lead single, "Party in the U.S.A." Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie (pronounced /dʒoʊˈliː/ joh-lee, born Angelina Jolie Voight; June 4, 1975) is an American actress. She has received an Academy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards, and was named Hollywood's highest-paid actress by Forbes in 2009 and 2011. Jolie is noted for promoting humanitarian causes as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She has been cited as the world's "most beautiful" woman, a title for which she has received substantial media attention.

Jolie made her screen debut as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in Lookin' to Get Out (1982), but her film career began in earnest a decade later with the low-budget production Cyborg 2 (1993). Her first leading role in a major film was in the cyber-thriller Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical television films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999).

Jolie achieved wide fame after her portrayal of video game heroine Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and established herself among the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood with the sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). She reinforced her reputation as a leading action star with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and Wanted (2008)—her biggest non-animated commercial successes to date—and received further critical acclaim for her performances in the dramas A Mighty Heart (2007) and Changeling (2008), which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Divorced from actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie now lives with actor Brad Pitt, in a relationship that has attracted worldwide media attention. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, and three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

When she was seven years old, Jolie had a small part in Lookin' to Get Out (1982), a movie co-written by and starring her father, Jon Voight. She committed to acting at the age of 16, but initially found it difficult to pass auditions, often being told that she was "too dark."[16] She appeared in five of her brother's student films, made while he attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts, as well as in several music videos, namely Lenny Kravitz's "Stand by My Woman" (1991), Antonello Venditti's "Alta Marea" (1991), The Lemonheads's "It's About Time" (1993), and Meat Loaf's "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" (1993). She began to learn from her father, as she noticed his method of observing people to become like them. Their relationship during this time was less strained, with Jolie realizing that they were both "drama queens.

Jolie began her professional film career in 1993, when she played her first leading role in the low-budget, straight-to-video science-fiction sequel Cyborg 2, as Casella "Cash" Reese, a near-human robot, designed to seduce her way into a rival manufacturer's headquarters and then self-detonate. Jolie was so disappointed with the film that she did not audition again for a year. Following a supporting role in the independent film Without Evidence (1995), Jolie starred as Kate "Acid Burn" Libby in her first Hollywood picture, Hackers (1995). The New York Times wrote, "Kate (Angelina Jolie) stands out. That's because she scowls even more sourly than [her co-stars] and is that rare female hacker who sits intently at her keyboard in a see-through top. Despite her sullen posturing, which is all this role requires, Ms. Jolie has the sweetly cherubic looks of her father, Jon Voight."The movie failed to make a profit at the box office, but developed a cult following after its video release.

She next appeared in the 1996 comedy Love Is All There Is, a modern-day loose adaptation of Romeo and Juliet set among two rival Italian family restaurant owners in The Bronx, New York. In the road movie Mojave Moon (1996) she played a young woman who falls for Danny Aiello's middle-aged character, while he develops feelings for her mother, played by Anne Archer. That same year, Jolie also portrayed Margret "Legs" Sadovsky, one of five teenage girls who form an unlikely bond in the film Foxfire after they beat up a teacher who has sexually harassed them. The Los Angeles Times wrote about her performance, "It took a lot of hogwash to develop this character, but Jolie, Jon Voight's knockout daughter, has the presence to overcome the stereotype. Though the story is narrated by Maddy, Legs is the subject and the catalyst.

In 1997, Jolie starred with David Duchovny in the thriller Playing God, set in the Los Angeles underworld. The movie was not received well by critics; Roger Ebert noted that "Angelina Jolie finds a certain warmth in a kind of role that is usually hard and aggressive; she seems too nice to be [a criminal's] girlfriend, and maybe she is. She then appeared in the television film True Women (1997), a historical romantic drama set in the American West and based on the book by Janice Woods Windle. That year, she also appeared as a stripper in the music video for "Anybody Seen My Baby?" by the Rolling Stones.

Malin Akerman

Malin Maria Åkerman (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈmɑːlɪn ˈoːkərˌman]; May 12, 1978) is a Swedish–Canadian actress and model. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden and moved to Canada at the age of two. As a child, she appeared in several television commercials before going on to win a modelling contract at age sixteen. Åkerman's acting career began with her debut on the Canadian television series Earth: Final Conflict in 1997, after which she made appearances on several other Canadian productions. In the early 2000s, she had many television and film parts, including The Utopian Society (2003) and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). Following a supporting role on the short-lived comedy series The Comeback (2005), Åkerman gained her first starring role in the film The Heartbreak Kid (2007).

Åkerman got her big break in 2009, when cast as Silk Spectre II in the superhero film Watchmen, a role for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. The same year, Åkerman had supporting and starring roles in both The Proposal and Couples Retreat, two commercial hits that garnered mixed to negative reviews. In 2010, she became part of the main cast on the comedy series Childrens Hospital. Apart from acting and occasional modelling, Åkerman has served as the lead singer for the alternative rock band The Petalstones, but eventually left to focus on her acting career. She has been married to the band's drummer, Roberto Zincone, since 2007. The couple resides in Los Angeles, California.
Åkerman was born in Stockholm, Sweden to aerobics teacher and part-time model Pia (née Sundström) and insurance broker Magnus Åkerman. When she was two, the family moved to Canada when her father was offered a job. Four years later, her parents divorced, with her father moving back to Sweden. oth of her parents remarried, giving Åkerman one half-brother and two half-sisters. After her mother remarried, they moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Later in her teenage years, her mother divorced again. Åkerman attended many different schools, including Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in St. Catharines, Ontario. She once attended a Catholic school, although being raised a Buddhist. She has recalled some portions of her childhood as "painful", explaining that "I loved my father very much and I only got to see him during the school holidays. But I think it was an advantage that they split up when I was very young, so I could get used to it." She visited her father in Falsterbo, Sweden during school breaks and talked to him regularly over the phone. She cites her parents as "supportive, positive influences" in her life.
As a child, Åkerman had no plans to become an actress. Her mother introduced her to modelling while she was still in primary school and she later landed several advertising campaign deals, but decided to stop at age twelve. However, four years later she returned to modelling after her discovery by Ford Models in a shopping mall in St. Catharines. She was signed to the agency and later won a contract with skincare company Noxzema. She soon moved into an apartment in Toronto while attending North Toronto Collegiate Institute. At age eighteen, she decided to become a child psychologist. The decision was inspired by the "helplessness" she sometimes felt during her childhood. She did modelling to afford her education, including a few commercials and catalogue work. She studied for a year at York University in Toronto, but was simultaneously offered television and film roles and decided to drop out of school to become an actress. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 2001 to pursue her acting career full time [edit] Career

Åkerman made her acting debut on the Canadian science fiction series Earth: Final Conflict in 1997, having a cameo appearance as a robot. She originally landed a role on an MTV pilot with Rachel McAdams, but the project was never picked up by the network. In 2000, she guest starred on Relic Hunter and had a smaller role in the Canadian film The Skulls. The following year, she made appearances on the Canada-based series Doc and Twice in a Lifetime. In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles, California in hopes of pursuing a broader acting career. She worked as a waitress, and was broke at one point; she had to sleep at a friend's couch and returned the favour by cleaning the house.
In 2003, she received smaller role in the film The Utopian Society. The film was edited by Francesco Sondelli, who was the guitarist for alternative rock band Ozono. Sondelli asked her to help the band out with song lyrics and later asked her to sing. Åkerman subsequently became the band's singer, and they changed their name to The Petalstones. The band released the single "Poison" which also received a music video. The band's debut album, Stung, was released on August 17, 2005. Åkerman eventually left to focus on her acting career, and admits that she "actually can't sing".In 2004, she got a small role in the film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, but considered moving back to Canada as most of her auditions failed. She was then cast in a supporting role as Juna on the short-lived HBO television series The Comeback, starring Lisa Kudrow.Åkerman's appearance on the show garnered media attention and resulted in her being offered more roles. A year later, she guest starred on an episode of Love Monkey and two episodes of Entourage.Shortly after the Entourage episodes aired, she landed a role in Bob Odenkirk's comedy film The Brothers Solomon, released in 2007.
In 2006, Åkerman signed up for a role opposite Ben Stiller in The Heartbreak Kid, directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly. She played in the lead female as Lila, the wife of Stiller's character. The film is a remake of the 1972 film of the same name. As the original film was considered a "classic", the directors had doubts about making the film, but decided to go with the project when a script had been written.[Released in October 2007, the film received generally negative reviews as critics deemed it to be "neither as daring nor as funny as the Farrelly Brothers' earlier films." Åkerman's performance garnered more positive reviews; Desson Thomson of The Washington Post called her a "fabulous comic partner" to Stiller, while Roger Moore of Times Herald-Record felt that she outperformed him. The film grossed $14 million in its opening weekend in the United States, and went on to gross $127 million globally. In April 2007, it was reported that Åkerman had joined the cast of 27 Dresses, a romantic comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher with Katherine Heigl in the lead role. The film was shot during the summer of 2007, and released in January 2008 to mixed to negative reviews, with critics calling it "clichéd and mostly forgettable". Åkerman played the title role in Bye Bye Sally, a short film directed by Paul Leyden and based on Lisa Mannetti's short story Everybody Wins. The film premiered at the 2009 Newport Beach Film Festival.[edit] 2009–2010.Åkerman at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival

Development of Zack Snyder's superhero film Watchmen, an adaption of Alan Moore's graphic novel of the same name, began in 2007 with the cast announced in July of the same year. Åkerman was to take the lead female role as Silk Spectre II, a part for which Snyder picked her over one hundred other actresses.Other more well-known actresses were originally considered for the role, but Snyder felt that they could not play such a serious part. Åkerman rehearsed with "months of hardcore training" and went on a very strict diet, before filming began in October 2007 and concluded in February 2008. She had to wear high heels and an uncomfortable latex costume. She also wore a brunette wig, which often stuck into the latex. The wig and latex provided little protection when performing stunts, and she often bruised herself during filming.Premiering in February 2009, the film received generally favourable reviews, and was a commercial success, grossing $185 million worldwide. Although Åkerman was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Teen Choice Award for her performance in the film, critics were generally negative towards her acting.
Following a March 2008 announcement, Åkerman joined the cast of The Proposal, a romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in the lead roles.Åkerman played a supporting role as Gertrude, the ex-girlfriend of Reynolds' character.Although the film received mixed reviews, it went on to gross $317 million worldwide. Reports in October 2008 indicated that Åkerman had signed up for Couples Retreat, a comedy film written by Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn with direction by Peter Billingsley.Åkerman played Ronnie, the wife of Vaughn's character and the mother of his two children. Åkerman enjoyed playing a mother for the first time and tried to make her character as truthful as possible. She dyed her hair brown for the part as she did not want to look like a "blonde bombshell". The film was shot on location in Bora Bora for three and a half weeks. It premiered in theatres in October 2009 and grossed $34 million in its opening weekend in the United States, entering number one at the box office, and totalled $171 million worldwide. However, reception for the film was mainly negative, with critics panning it for the "arid, mirthless comedy".

In 2010, Åkerman co-starred as Annie in happythankyoumoreplease, written and directed by Josh Radnor. As the character had alopecia, Åkerman shaved off her eyebrows and wore a bald cap to cover her hair. Radnor originally sent her the script and offered her a different role, but Åkerman felt that she wanted to play Annie, only to find that the character had already been cast. However, the actress cast as Annie left the project and Åkerman got the role. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2010 and received an audience award for Favorite U.S. Drama, but critical reception was mixed. In May 2010, Åkerman guest starred on the How I Met Your Mother episode "The Wedding Bride".In August 2010, she joined the cast of the Adult Swim comedy series Childrens Hospital, playing the part of Dr. Valerie Flame. Åkerman played a supporting role in the romantic comedy film The Romantics, which premiered on September 10, 2010 in limited release. In 2010, Åkerman played in the comedy film Elektra Luxx, the sequel to 2009's Women in Trouble, written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez. She was initially offered her role as Trixie at a screening of Women in Trouble. The film premiered on March 11, 2011 in limited release and received generally unfavourable reviews, with critics calling it a "bizarre sex comedy".[edit] 2011–present

Åkerman starred in the lead female role in the film The Bang Bang Club, which premiered during the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The film had its United States premiere in April 2011 at the Tribeca Film Festival, and received mixed reviews. Reports in March 2010 revealed that Åkerman had been cast alongside Gary Oldman and Milo Ventimiglia in Cliff Dorfman's directorial debut, Criminal Empire for Dummy's.In June 2010, it was reported that Åkerman had signed up for Catch .44, a drama film with Forest Whitaker and Bruce Willis in the male lead roles. The film was written and directed by newcomer Aaron Harvey.Shooting began on July 11, 2010, and Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired the rights to release the film sometime in 2011. Åkerman also joined the cast of Wanderlust, being one of the last actors to be cast. The film was directed by David Wain and produced by Judd Apatow.
Åkerman will star in the 2012 bank heist action film Medallion with Nicolas Cage. She will also star as Linda Lovelace in Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, directed by Matthew Wilder and based on the life of the late porn star. Åkerman took over after Lindsay Lohan, who was fired from the project.According to Åkerman, the film takes focus on Lovelace's personal life. She is also up for a role in Serpent Girl, based on Matthew Carnahan's book of the same name. In May 2011, it was confirmed that she had joined the cast of Rock of Ages as the journalist Constance Stack. The film, and the other projects The Giant Mechanical Man and The Numbers Station, are set to be released in 2012.[edit] Image

Åkerman is noted for frequently appearing in nude scenes in her films, such as The Heartbreak Kid and Watchmen. She has stated that she feels comfortable as long as the scenes are not gratuitous. In an interview with Daily Mail she commented, "I spent a lot of time as a child in Sweden; it’s natural there. I don’t know many women who go to bed with their husband at night and have sex with a bra on, do you? So let’s make it real in the movies." She described the sex scenes in The Heartbreak Kid as "quite acrobatic" and director Peter Farrelly had to show her the positions before shooting as she did not fully understand him.The sex scene in Watchmen includes Leonard Cohen's recording of "Hallelujah".Åkerman called the scene "beautifully shot" and believed the film would not be complete without it.
In 2008, she made her first appearance on AskMen's "99 Most Desirable Women" list at number sixty. The same year, men's magazine Maxim placed her at number fifty-nine in their annual "Hot 100" rankings. The following year, the magazine ranked her at number four. Although admitting that sex appeal is one of the "best assets", Åkerman considers being beautiful both "a blessing and a curse", stating; "I tend to get a lot of scripts in which people want me to play the trophy wife, which is frustrating because I want the interesting, meaty roles.[edit] Personal life

As Åkerman was born in Sweden and grew up in Canada, she has "conflicting feelings" for the two countries. In an interview with Toronto Star, she said, "Every time I'm in Canada I feel more Swedish, and every time I'm in Sweden I feel more Canadian. I belong in both places and I love them both equally."She holds both Swedish and Canadian passports. Apart from speaking fluent English and Swedish, she also speaks French and Spanish. She describes herself as a feminist as she believes in equal treatment for both sexes, but also considers that "We [women] are different", adding that she "embrace[s] those differences."She has revealed that she is dyslexic and said that it takes her "a long time" to learn her lines, saying "I get horrified when I have to do table reads with the whole cast, because there’s a lot of stuttering coming from me, so I have to do a lot of prep."Because of this, she prefers to improvise her lines. She said, "It’s so funny, because you do get directors who are more adamant about the words — especially writer-directors. They want the words to be precise. And I do end up changing words, and it doesn’t make sense, and I understand why they want me to say the words because I switch sentences up. It’s just the dyslexia that comes in."
Åkerman was raised a Buddhist, which inspired the lotus flower tattoo on her upper back. She described it as a symbol of "creating your own life and your own karma without having to tie it back to your roots and past and not letting that hold you back." She also has a tattooed 'Z' on her right wrist, honouring her husband, Italian musician Roberto Zincone. The two met in 2003 when Åkerman was the lead singer in The Petalstones, for which Zincone served as the drummer. After band practices, they usually socialized, using a dictionary as he could not speak English. They eventually started dating and married at Grand Hotel Moon Valley in Sorrento, Italy on June 20, 2007. The couple resides in Los Angeles, California.

Bar Refaeli

Bar Refaeli (Hebrew: בר רפאלי‎; born 4 June 1985) is an Israeli model and occasional actress, most known for her modeling work and for her relationship with American actor Leonardo DiCaprio. She was the cover model of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.Bar Refaeli was born into an Israeli Jewish family in Hod HaSharon, Israel. Her parents, Rafael and Tzipi, own a horse ranch. Her mother was a successful Israeli model in the 1970s under her maiden name, Tzipi Levine. Refaeli has three brothers. She began a modeling career at the age of eight months, appearing in commercials. Refaeli had to wear braces in her early years, interrupting her modeling until age 15, when she returned to modeling with the representation of Irene Marie Models.

Refaeli began her modeling career before the age of 8 months for a baby commercial. By age 15, she was featured in campaigns for the fashion brands Castro and Pilpel, also starring in a commercial for Milky. Refaeli won the title "Model of The Year" in an Israeli beauty contest in 2000. Refaeli has appeared in ELLE (France), Maxim, and GQ (Italy). She debuted in the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, becoming the first Israeli model to appear in the magazine, posing with rock band Aerosmith. In 2009, Refaeli was the covermodel for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. A photo from the shoot, featuring a bikini-clad Refaeli, was painted on the side of a Boeing 737 in a promotional deal with Southwest Airlines, leading to criticism of Southwest from passengers for using an image they regarded as inappropriately sexual and "offensive to families". In October of the same year, Refaeli was again embroiled in controversy, when Haredi groups criticised a Tel Aviv billboard campaign in which she appeared semi-nude, alleging that it could "poison" the public. The billboards were subsequently removed.

She has modeled for Subaru, Accessorize, Brazilian clothing line Besni, Italian jewelry line Marco Bicego, and Rampage. In 2009, she modeled for Garnier International. On 5 March 2009, Refaeli received the "World Style Award," presented by the Women's World Awards, for her "natural elegance, sense of style and compassion. Refaeli co-starred the Israeli TV series Pick Up in 2005. In October 2008, she co-hosted the Bravo special program Tommy Hilfiger Presents Ironic Iconic America, based on the book Ironic Iconic America written by George Lois. She returned as a program host in 2009, this time for MTV's brief revival of House of Style. On January 18, 2011, Refaeli attended the premiere of the English-language movie Session in Israel in which she stars. Directed by Israeli Haim Bouzaglo, the film is a psychological thriller that tells the story of a manipulative psychologist who becomes obsessed with a new young patient. She served as a guest judge on cycle four of Germany's Next Topmodel hosted by Heidi Klum. Previously linked to Baywatch actor David Charvet and Uri El-Natan, Refaeli began a relationship with American actor Leonardo DiCaprio in November 2005 after meeting him at a Las Vegas party thrown for members of U2. In the course of their trip to Israel in March 2007, the couple met with Israeli president Shimon Peres and visited Refaeli's hometown of Hod HaSharon. The relationship ended in June 2009.Numerous reports, however, indicate that, as of early 2010, the romance may have been rekindled. In May 2011, it was reported that the couple had ended their romantic relationship, although still remaining friends.

Her relationship with DiCaprio caused one nationalist Israeli organization to send her a letter, later leaked to the press, in which she was asked, for the sake of "future generations of Jews", not to marry a "non-Jew", a request similar to the one made, a few years previously, to Israeli Miss World winner Linor Abargil. Refaeli confided to L'Isha magazine that she prefers to keep a lower profile – though she is out with DiCaprio much of the time. "I am there for him and I am at all the events," she says. "I just don't walk in hand-in-hand with him. I don't see any reason. I don't need to strike poses with him in front of the cameras. In 2007, controversy arose when it became widely known that Refaeli had married a family acquaintance and divorced him soon after in order to avoid military service in the Israel Defense Forces, which is mandatory for both men and women over the age of 18, with certain exceptions. As a result of the adverse publicity, the Israeli Forum for the Promotion of Equal Share in the Burden threatened to boycott the fashion chain Fox if they hired Refaeli, but the two sides reached a compromise in which the model agreed to visit injured IDF soldiers on visits to Israel and encourage enlistment in the army. Refaeli later stated, "I don't regret not enlisting, because it paid off big time. That's just the way it is, celebrities have other needs. I hope my case has influenced the army." In 2009, fellow Israeli model Esti Ginzburg, while speaking in support of enlisting, caused headlines by criticizing Bar Refaeli for her avoidance of military service.[The controversy garnered further headlines when Refaeli was featured on the cover of Italian GQ's war-themed May 2011 issue.[edit] References

He has one older brother. His mother, Jadranka, is Serbian and his father, Vlada, is Croatian. His parents divorced shortly after his birth. During the Bosnian War, he moved with his mother, brother and grandmother to a refugee camp near Belgrade, Serbia. When asked if he found his childhood difficult, Pejic said:  No, I was happy. The camp was a community. We went to school and I had lots of friends – mainly girls. Everybody played outside. My memories are very carefree.

After the 1999 NATO bombings, Pejic's mother felt unsafe and decided to leave Serbia. The family moved to Melbourne, Australia as political refugees when Pejic was eight years old. It has been reported that he was scouted just before his 17th birthday whilst working at a local fast food outlet, but he has also stated he was scouted at a swimming pool whilst still in high school in Melbourne, Australia..He is notable for his extreme androgyny and his ability to successfully model both male and female clothing.

In the Paris fashion shows of January 2011 he walked both the men's and women's shows for Jean-Paul Gaultier and the men's shows for Marc Jacobs. In May 2011, Andrej's magazine cover for the New York-based magazine Dossier Journal - in which he is pictured taking off his shirt with his long blond locks in curlers - was ruled too risqué by US bookstores Barnes & Noble and Borders, which covered the image with an opaque sleeve. Concerns were expressed that customers would mistake him for a topless woman.

As of September 2011, he ranks no. 18 on the models.com Top 50 Male Models list, and he was ranked no. 98 in FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011,an 'award' that caused controversy with a transphobic subtext that was removed from FHM's website.

Izabel Goulart

Maria Izabel Goulart Dourado (born October 23, 1984), better known as Izabel Goulart, is a Brazilian model. She is best known as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels from 2005 to present and for her work with Armani Exchange.
Goulart was born on October 23, 1984 in São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil. She is of Italian descent and has four brothers and one sister.[2] Goulart once said "the hardest part about being an Angel is I spend time away from my mom's food and away from my home with my five brothers and sister."[3] School was a particularly rough time for Goulart, as she was made fun of for her skinny build, and was even called names such as "giraffe".
While shopping for groceries with her mother at age 14, a hairstylist suggested that she should become a model. She moved to the state's capital São Paulo and started modeling.
During Goulart's first ever fashion show appearance, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction when her top fell open. The unfortunate incident made many Brazilian newspapers and remains her most embarrassing moment. She was able to put her rocky start behind her and returned to the runway to model collections for A-list designers such as Bill Blass, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Jil Sander, Chanel, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney, among many others.Goulart has also modeled for H&M, Express, Neiman Marcus, Missoni and Dsquared.
She first appeared in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2005, the year she was contracted as an Angel. Although she is no longer an Angel, Goulart walked in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows. She has shot for top photographers such as Terry Richardson, David Sims, Greg Kadel, and Vincent Peters for such publications as French and Japanese Vogue, French magazine, and Numero. Goulart can be seen in the fall 2009 H&M campaign.
In 2011, Goulart appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The same year, she ranked number 100 in FHM magazine's list of the 100 Sexiest Women In The World.
Goulart was reportedly engaged to businessman Marcelo Costa on August 2006. Although she mentioned being single during a February 2008 interview on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, she stated she was still with Costa in an interview for GQ Italia, November 2009.[citation needed]
Goulart, whose brother has type 1 diabetes, does charitable work, helping hospitals in her native Brazil to raise money to provide free insulin for diabetic children in need. She also has taken an active role with the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Miami, a recognized leader in cure-focused research. In 2009, Goulart became the DRI's international ambassador and in that role helps to promote the work of the DRI throughout her travels.
